與3Dmark03相比，Quake3 Arena更是有猛吃系統帶寬的偏好，與消耗浮點運算資源結合起來，讓Quake3 Arena自推出以來依然是非常好的的3D性能測試游戲一點也不讓人奇怪。
3GHz P4借助驚人的實際帶寬，以及雙通道內存接口，讓Quake3 Arena這類要求大數據塊傳輸的應用是分獲益，再加上浮點運算能力的提升，把Intel平臺的優勢發揮得淋漓盡致，得分高高在上不讓人奇怪。AthlonXP 3200+無論在Fatest測試還在高分辨率測試中，根本無法企及3GHz P4的水平。在Fatest測試項中差距尤其明顯，得分大約只有3GHz P4系統的75%，隨著分辨率提高，瓶頸向顯卡轉移，差距也縮小到17%以內。<
